The Pine Bough - Vol 10, December 2005

This issue of the Pine Bough focuses on Angelina County in World War II, highlighting The History Center’s on-site exhibit Angelina County at War: A World War II Exhibit. In it, you will find articles about D-Day in Lufkin by radio broadcaster Al Vinson and a letter describing the aftermath of D-Day from Normandy veteran Bob Poland. Angelina County men and women who fought in the war and worked at home are also featured through photographs and personal stories. Additionally, an interesting list of firsts in Diboll history rounds out the issue, along with news and notes about The History Center’s year.
